Let’s Talk about Mental Wellness and Self Care – Part I

Thursday, January 28, was the 11th annual Bell Let’s Talk Day. This is a day for Canadians to join the global mental health conversation, reduce the stigma around this extremely prevalent and pressing issue, and raise funds to support Canadian mental health programs.

With the growing need for quality, accessible mental wellness services, Bell is stressing that “every action counts” and is giving each Canadian the opportunity to add their voice to a very important discussion and create positive changes.

For each text, local or long-distance call, tweet, or TikTok video using #BellLets Talk, Bell donated 5 cents to Canadian mental health programs. They also donated 5 cents for every Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube view of the Bell Let's Talk Day video, and every use of the Bell Let's Talk Facebook frame or Snapchat filter.

In this way, Bell says this year's Let's Talk Day generated over 159 million messages, 42 million interactions on social media, and over seven million dollars for mental health. Wow!
